Project: The Elevan

The Elevan, a modern conversion Mercedes Sprinter Van, was designed, fabricated, and built in house by our architectural design team. The 54 sq. ft. space is versatile, allowing occupants the ability to easily transform the space.

The tail end of the van is comprised of two benches that slide inwards creating one large queen size bed which allows travelers the opportunity to have a shared space for dining or working remote while seamlessly being able to transform into a bed at night. The kitchen space is comprised of two cabinetry units. On the passenger side, the 24” sink cabinet has 18 liters of potable water and a 24” countertop extension. While its opposite cabinetry unit has 48” of cook and prep countertop space, an induction cooktop, efficiency fridge, composting toilet, and ample amounts of storage. With a 3000 watt inverter, 600 amp hours of battery, and 400 watts of solar, the Elevan is capable of going completely off grid and being self sustaining.

The warm tone of the oak slats help connect travelers directly to nature, extending parks and forests inwards and creating a safe and welcoming environment capable of complementing the natural beauty and scenery this country has to offer.
