The proposed 16,000 sq ft expansion of Springville Youth Incorporated (SYI) will more than double the current facility and create a modern, inclusive hub designed to meet the community’s growing needs. By consolidating programs on one campus and sharing key resources such as locker rooms, restrooms, and storage, SYI will improve efficiency while offering safe, flexible spaces for recreation, learning, and social connection. The expanded center will include a full gym, multipurpose rooms, creative and study areas, a media lounge, computer lab, cafeteria, and fully accessible amenities that meet ADA and state standards. Guided by ongoing input from local youth through surveys and workshops, the design emphasizes both physical accessibility and social inclusion, ensuring every program is responsive to real needs. Overall, the project represents a strategic investment in Springville’s future, strengthening community ties, supporting youth development, and providing a welcoming place for all young people to learn, play, and grow.
